Susumu, Hidaka and Sugawara start. Everyone is apprehensive. Eventually they knuckle up and Hidaka ends up on the wrong side of a double-team attack. He fights out of that in impressive fashion. Sugawara and Susumu box Hidaka out of a chop exchange. Hidaka gets involved and takes the bulk of the punishment. Things get lucha, but in a good way for a change. Kagetora, Classic and Fujita all go for headlock takedowns. Fujita catches Kagetora with a head scissor takedown. Classic hits a dropkick. Kagetora avoids a dropkick but eats a leg lariat. Classic and Hidaka hit a double elbowdrop for 2. Sugawara and Kagetora hit a double dropkick on Hidaka. Kagetora dropkicks Sugawara. Everyone works over Hidaka’s neck. Kagetora hits an enziguiri for 2. Hidaka comes back with a swinging DDT to Sugawara. Classic cleans house. He hits Kagetora with an awesome German suplex. He hits rolling snap suplexes. He hits Sugawara with a Blue Thunder Bomb and a basement dropkick for 2. Kagetora hits the leaping lariat on Sugawara. Susumu hits Classic with the super exploder for 2. Fujita hits a missile dropkick. He hits a basement dropkick to Classic’s back. Classic dropkicks his knee. He hits an inverted DDT on Susumu while ducking Fujita’s clothesline. He dropkicks Fujita’s knee. Susumu hits the Ashi Yokosuka. He puts Sugawara in an abdominal stretch. Kagetora does the same to Classic. Hidaka puts Fujita in the Shawn Capture. Classic escapes Kagetora and adds a crossface. Susumu releases Sugawara to break Hidaka’s hold. Fujita hits Susumu with the Complete Shot. He hits a hurricanrana. Fujita hits Hidaka with an implant DDT. Susumu saves Hidaka from the Shiisanpuuta. He eats a leg lariat for his trouble. Susumu comes back with lariats. Sugawara hits TCO. Susumu recovers in time to powerbomb Sugawara while the bad man hits Hidaka with a superplex. Kagetora follows with the flying elbowdrop for 2. Susumu hits a hurricanrana for 2. He hits Hidaka with the Jumbo no Kachi. Kagetora hits a suicide dive. Classic hits a plancha. Sugawara hits a suicide dive. Fujita hits a topé con hilo. Susumu hits Hidaka with the DVD for 2. Classic does the same to Kagetora. Hidaka Iguchi Bombs Susumu onto Classic’s knee. He hits the Wild Dog Kick for 2. Sugawara gets a schoolboy for 2. Susumu hits the Jumbo no Kachi. He hits it on Hidaka. He hits it again for 2. Kagetora saves him from the Misty Flip and hits the Ikkitousen. Susumu hits the Mugen for the win and the titles at 21:09. The finish was awesome and the match was largely competent as a whole. However, it was long and they never got the crowd invested, which hampered my enjoyment of the match.
